Video Game Violence? Trump’s Blame Game Leads to Backlash From Gamers, Gun-Law Reformists

Trump, Washington, USA – 02 Aug 2019

Video games have been often linked with violence in real life. It is said that some action-packed video games are making today’s youth aggressive. While this may be true to some extent, but video games do not supply arms and ammunitions. Moreover, not all children and adults resort to violence. And there is no evidence to link video games with such terror activities.

Advanced Technology and Violence

Maybe video games don’t cause violence, but the advanced technology of mobile phones has made communication easy. And easy interface has led people to connect. Therefore, the planning of such gruesome activities is done efficiently. What needed a lot of time earlier to execute can now be done in a matter of months.

Mental Health Results in Aggression

Mental illness and aggressive behavior are sometimes inter-related. A lot of mental conditions may lead a person to resort to violence like throwing things, hurting others physically, or hurting oneself. Sometimes a prolonged mental illness may make a person so irritable that they lose control of themselves. Many a time, they forget having caused damage to others. In some cases, mentally unstable people can be manipulated to commit crimes they don’t understand.

Background Check

No one becomes a terrorist overnight. Sometimes where a child is born, how the parents bring him up, and the kind of environment they see around them matters a lot. Violence breeds violence. Quarreling parents or neighbors tend to make a child hostile. They start believing that fighting is the solution to all problems. By the time the child grows into an adult, his mindset has become like that.

Real and Reel Life

Sometimes movies give the wrong message through their contents. It shows that the hero resorts to violence in the first instance and also justifies it. Actors are role models to many people, young and old alike. Imitating the actions of the actors may lead people to commit dangerous crimes. Many can’t differentiate between the reel and real life.

Real Life Experiences

Sometimes real-life experiences also make a man violent. Witnessing murder or honor killings from a close quarter can make a man intense. Such experiences keep on flashing in mind and can make a person a criminal or drive him crazy. Instances of suicides or self-harm can also be a reason for such behavior. But these are not the reasons always. Inner complexes of a person are also responsible for their actions.

Social Media

Being too active on social media can lead to such issues. Some people have the habit of uploading violent, and some people have the habit of watching each one of them. Such overexposure to these contents fills the empty mind with a lot of ideas to implement them. Many people also share their stories of such experiences in long posts. They may seem too right to resist for some people who cannot distinguish between right and wrong.

Violence Does Not Pay

Any form of violence does not pay in the long run. It may be terrorists carrying out bomb blasts or a man murdering someone; ultimately, they are convicted. You lose your identity; get away from your family and the society in general. Your actions cause you pain and suffering at the end. Whatever factors may instigate one to use cruelty on others is not enough if you have a healthy mind and never let them affect you.
