The Misfit brand of watches that is now owned by Fossil has launched its new smartwatch – The Phase, having the look of an analog watch. It can be paired with a smartphone using Bluetooth technology. It has the power of counting your steps and send notifications. You can also use it to control your smartphone. It has become quite of a craze inspite of similar models by the competitor companies such as Garmin, Mondaine and the Withings model of Nokia. Fitbit, the market leader in the smartwatches, has come up with a watch that works on touchscreen technology. But the common people are seen to be not much interested in watches which work in complete touch mode apart from the one that has been brought out by Apple.
Watches with traditional looks are still a hit
The traditional looking watches are more stylish in comparison to the smart watches. This is the main reason behind the popularity of the hybrid watches which uses the smart technology but has the look of an analog watch. Apart from the appearances, you need not recharge the watches every day just like a smartphone. Once you replace a battery, it can last you for long. These can also easily be sold by the general watch sellers as too much of know-how is not required for selling purpose. Customers too are seen to prefer the traditional watch shops for buying the watches than going to the stores selling electronic gadgets for purchasing the smartwatches.
Attractive features of Phase
This model of the watch has several attractive features. It uses a general watch battery that can easily last up to 6 months. It is resistant to water up to a depth of around 50 m. As it is can be linked with your smartphone, it gives you notifications of an incoming call, message or application alert. You can also use it to click photographs and play music. You can also use it for presentation purposes for movement of slides. Another cute feature that this watch has that it automatically sets its time through the adjustment of the hands whenever you move into a separate time zone. The price of the model is tagged at £165. Though with respect to the features, it is not comparable with models by Fitbit and Apple, yet it has a larger battery life and the time is readable in the room as well as in the bright sunlight.
