It took them some time, but Xiaomi finally introduced their 100W super-charge turbo tech. The company unveiled the technology at Xiaomi Developer Conference in China on Tuesday. Xiaomi declares that their 100W fast charging tech can power up a phone with a 4000mAh battery within 17 minutes. They also demonstrated a video to showcase the efficiency of their 100W super-charge turbo tech at that very same conference.
Previously, Vivo came up with its 120W Super Flash Fast charging technology earlier this year. They claimed that their technology can charge a phone with 4000mAh within 13 minutes. From this move made by Xiaomi, it is clear that the company is trying to compete against Vivo’s 120W fast charging technology. Apart from Vivo, several other companies like Realme and Oppo also released their 50W and 65W fast charging technology respectively. The smartphone, Realme X2 Pro, comes with 50W charging technology. The device is launching in India today.
Xiaomi displays how fast their 100W charging technology smartphone chargers can replenish a 4000mAh battery. Xiaomi declares that the 100Wsuper charge turbo tech requires 17 minutes to complete the charging process of a 4000mAh smartphone. In that respect, Xiaomi’s fast charging technology can charge phones such as Redmi Note 8, Redmi K20 series, and Redmi Note 7 series under 20 minutes.
Xiaomi explains that their 100W super-charger turbo tech possesses a high-voltage charge pump. The manufacturers of this charge bundle this high-voltage charge pump with 9-fold charge protection. Besides, there is 7-fold charge protection for the motherboard and 2-fold protection for the battery.
One thing worth noting is that Xiaomi didn’t reveal the names of the smartphones that will have the 100W super-charge turbo technology. Naturally, this silence from the company will bug their customers a bit. However, sources say that Xiaomi will probably declare the names of the phones while launching its flagships next year. So, if you favor Xiaomi over others, then you have to wait for them to disclose the names of the phones.
