ISACA Takes New Steps To Represent More Women In Technology

It has been an accepted fact that women did not have enough roles to play in the field of technology. ISACA, the worldwide technology association, is trying to bring about a change in this. It has framed a new program named as, ‘Connecting Women Leaders in Technology’. This is aimed at attracting more number of women in the field of technology. This will also try to support the advancement of the careers of women with a certain tool for their sustenance. More opportunities will be brought about for ushering in opportunities for education of women and proliferation of their knowledge on technology.

The Leadership Council of ladies comes forward

The program of ISACA was decided upon by the ladies who are in the leadership group of the Association. The group is headed by Jo Stewart-Rattray who holds the position of Director of Information Security and IT Assurance at BRM Holdich. The other members are ladies who hold executive positions in several technology-driven organizations. According to Stewart-Rattray, women need to be empowered more on the technology-based professions for further taking ahead this profession. More women leaders who are active in the technology professions will create opportunities for more women who can play key roles in support, education and awareness.

Upcoming cyber security conferences

There are certain conferences that are coming up to be held by ISACA on cyber security. They are the CSX North America and CSX Europe. It will be a great opportunity for people to see unique features in programming along with networking for the ladies. The men folk are also free to attend to gather more knowledge. At the event in North America, the professionals in the field of technology will be able to spread out their relationships through professional networking events. The program at Europe will hold a similar interactive event along with a lecture given by Hayley Barnard, who is a famous Diversity Strategist.

Programs in the coming year

ISACA is trying to promote the involvement of more women in the association who are in the technology sector. They can carry out different roles and can inspire other ladies also. In 2017, several other awareness programs will be arranged by ISACA. A series of webinars will be conducted featuring the role of women in the field of Technology. All the different programs of ISACA that will be held during the year will include programs focusing on strengthening the role of women in Technology.
