People acquire skills throughout life to become a leader. Leaders play a pivotal role in bringing changes in the world. People with management skills, dynamic traits and an emphatic attitude towards their subordinates make great leaders in history. A leader revolts and motivates his followers. For better or worse, leaders can be powerful forces who influence our civilization. Many leaders are competent, but only a few of them are remarkable.

Mahatma Gandhi was the primary leader in British-ruled India. He completed his legal education from London. He was a firm believer of nonviolence movements. He was imprisoned several times and undertook numerous hunger strikes to protest against oppression of the poor classes. After partition in 1947, he continued his work for promoting peace between Hindus and Muslims. He is known as the father of the Indian nation.
He was the leader of the Nazi party. He was a dictator and denounced capitalism and socialism. Hitler gained absolute power by abolishing all political parties. His fascist policies led to World War 2. Many war crimes took place during Hitler’s time. He ordered enemies to be killed in concentration camps. During Holocaust six million Jews were murdered by the German Nazi.
He was one of the greatest leaders in history. He was the son of King Philip and Queen Olympias of Macedonia in Greece. He wanted to conquer the whole world. He was not content with only Greece as his kingdom. He led his armies into Egypt, Persia and India. He did not lose a single battle in his entire life. He was also a good ruler. He was generous and gave justice to all.
Ashoka belonged to the Mauryan dynasty. He became a high official during his father, Bindusara’s reign. He was an experienced ruler and built a great empire by conquering a large part of India. He won the battle against the Kalingas. When the war was over, Ashoka looked around him and saw the suffering the war had caused. He saw thousands of dead soldiers. He was disturbed by the sight of children crying. After this war, he vowed never to fight a battle again. He adopted Buddhism which believed in nonviolence. He travelled all over the country preaching the teachings of the Buddha. He had pillars built in public places in the Prakrit language. The most famous pillar is the pillar with four lions which is our National Emblem. Ashoka is also known as Ashoka the great.
Socrates was the son of a stone-cutter in Greece. He grew up in Athens and learned the art of stone cutting from his father. He was always trying to find out the truth about everything. He was always trying to find out what was the right thing to do. He made many friends and influenced many people. Some influential people in the government did not like Socrates because he asked too many questions. Socrates believed evil cannot from a good man.
He was born in Rome. He was an excellent speaker and could motivate people with his speeches. He was ambitious, and he wanted to be the greatest man in Rome when he grew up. He led his people in many battles and soon became the dictator of the country. He soon became so powerful that many people in Rome became jealous of him. He had many enemies, and they stabbed him to death.
He was the main face of the Cuban revolution. After the Cuban revolution, he became the President of Cuba. In the western part of the world, he was the first one to build a Communist state. He survived many assassination attempts. During his regime, illiteracy was removed, and public healthcare was improved to a great extent. Cuba shared a highly antagonistic relationship with The United States of America. Many financial aids were supplied by him to leftist guerrilla movements in Latin America and parts of Africa.
He was the other face of the Cuban revolution along with Fidel Castro. He became a guerrilla leader in South America. He believed that only communism could save Latin America. A strong opponent of the United States, he guided Cuba for alignment with the Soviet Union. The Cuban economy suffered because the United States imposed many trade sanctions. His compassion for doing right for the masses influenced many people.
