When looking at fashion bloggers, you should ask yourself what you are looking for. What usually happens is that we end up following bloggers who we have been recommended, or find out what is popular on the internet and follow that. In certain cases, we look at our ideal sense of fashion and follow bloggers who stick to that style.
The thing is we never think of ourselves when it comes to this. There are a lot of factors that go into what makes us look good, and we end up harping on ways we don’t look good as opposed to ways we can look good. For example, have you taken your body size, shape and skin tone into consideration while looking at these bloggers?
Chances are, whether you have or have not, you end up gravitating towards the media’s idea of what a perfect woman looks like. When looking for a fashion blogger, here are some things you should keep in mind.
Body type
We see so much of hourglass bodies, rotund buttocks, and top-heavy models in the media, that we become disillusioned about what would look good on us. When finding a fashion blogger – and there are many – see if your body type is similar to theirs. If you are a pear shape, athletic type, petite and so on, find a blogger who matches that shape to find out what kind of things would look good on you. Even size is important, for example, fashion bloggers who represent plus size girls.
Culture and occasion
Wherever you are reading this, you probably have an idea of where you want to apply different kinds of fashion. Luckily for you, there are bloggers who specialize in occasion-specific dressing. Find out the kind of occasions you want to look best for and there is guaranteed to be a blogger writing about it. The kind of culture you come from or want to represent can also help you pick a blogger.
Content
It may be mostly pictures blog, or it could be writing as well. Look at the kind of content the blogger produces, and whether you personally find them funny or appealing. You shouldn’t follow bloggers just because your friends told you, because you might get disgruntled when you see their content.
