The injury has been quite serious and he was out of the match due to this. It all happened during the fourth quarter of the match. The nasty blow came from Richard Sherman who is the cornerback of the Seahawks team. Since the hit was quite serious, he was put to the concussion protocol of the NFL. It was better not to take any chances with his injury.
Goff did not want to leave the match
When the collision took place, Goff had tried to remain on the ground and continue playing. It was thought better not to take any risks. The concussion identifier present at the booth was summoned. He evaluated the injury of Goff and thought it better to take him off from the field. Goff was reluctant to leave the game initially. He was taken off the field and into the locker enclosure.
