The fans of iPhone are eagerly waiting for the launch of iPhone 7. The date is almost there and before that grand event, Apple has launched a new 2TB iCloud storage tier. They have introduced this new plan worldwide. This is also great news for the company and it seems that they are determined to do something bigger in this last section of 2016. The launch of two big products in one year is the sign of the same.
Previously, there was 1TB iCloud plan available in the market which costs INR 650 per month. Now, they come with this new 2TB plan which will cost INR 1300 per month. However, those who love the previous plan may not take it as a huge price when they are getting double. That means with this latest launch in the market the family of the iCloud plan gets a new member and becomes 4 altogether. There are 50GB, 200GB, 1TB and 2TB plans. The users have to pay 65Rs, 190Rs, 650Rs, and 1300Rs per month respectively for these plans.
Is It A Hint
The experts of mobile device market notice that jump that Apple has tried just before the launching of iPhone 7. Some of them wish to consider this move as a hint of the getting this latest iPhone with a 256 GB variant. The price of this upcoming phone has recently leaked on the internet and according to the experts; it is also a clear hint of the addition of 265GB storage variants in this Smartphone.
What Is The Position Of The Competitors
Google Drive recently starts offering 15GB without any charge. To use 100GB, 1TB, 10TB, 20TB and 30TB users would have to pay INR130, INR 650, INR 6,500, INR 13,000, and INR 19,500 respectively per month.
On the other hand, there is Microsoft that offers 5GB without any cost. They also charge Rs 123 monthly 50GB OneDrive cloud storage.
Making The Competition Tougher
No matter what the others are offering presently, this 2TB storage tier will definitely solve the problem of many users who wish to have a bigger and better cloud storage service. If the assumption of the experts is correct and the new iPhone 7 comes with such a high cloud storage facility, then it will surely make the competition even tougher for the other Smartphone manufacturers of this industry. However, the good news is this new iCloud storage tier can work nicely on other iPhone devices that have smaller storage capacity.
